I'm McKenna Jensen, a 24-year-old self-taught artist and illustrator based in Utah, USA. While I don't have a formal college education in art, I am continuously honing my skills through online courses and self-education.
I previously worked as a professional hair stylist for a few years. However, my passion for creativity and self-expression led me to pursue a career in the visual arts instead. I find immense joy in exploring subjects like bones, human anatomy, creatures, medieval/feudalism, weapons, armor, dark arts, plants, and bugs. These subjects fuel my imagination and allow me to create my artwork.
Inspiration comes to me from various sources. Nature, humans, history, artists from every time period, fashion, fantasy, archeology, science, books, movies, and music.
When it comes to creating digital art, I primarily use Procreate on the iPad. For traditional artwork, I work with charcoal, graphite, or ink.
My ultimate goal is to attain a tattoo apprenticeship, as I believe it is the best way to immerse myself in the world of tattoos and learn the ins and outs of this art form.
Safety is of utmost importance to me, and I am dedicated to mastering safe tattooing procedures. I want to ensure that every client who sits in my chair has a comfortable and professional experience, knowing that their well-being is my top priority.
I am eager to learn from a mentor, someone who can guide me through the intricacies of tattooing and provide me with that one-of-a-kind experience of working in a tattoo shop. I believe that this hands-on learning opportunity will be invaluable in launching my tattoo career.
